Ann meyers
Ann Meyers remains to be the ONLY woman to ever have signed a free agent contract in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers, but unfortunately did not make the team. During High School she played on an all boy's team, and was the only girl who did. She was also the first player to be on the U.S. National team while still in High School. She was also the first woman to be signed to a full ride 4 year athletic scholarship to UCLA. She also became the first 4-time Kodak All-American (both men and women). Meyers was the first woman to be signed to the Women's Basketball League (WBL) after being turned down by the Indiana Pacers. She also was on the first U.S. Women's Basketball team and helped them to win a silver medal in the 1976 Olympics. Now she is the Vice President of both the Phoenix Suns (NBA) and the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA).
